We welcome anyone who would like prayer.People come for prayer for many reasons such as physical or emotional healing, a personal or spiritual need for themselves or a loved one, as a response to the sermon, or simply to say thank you for how God has been moving in their life. We invite you to come forward and be ministered to in a caring and safe environment.
Members of the Prayer Ministry Team are available to pray confidentially with people during the last two songs of the morning service and after the service. They are supported by a team of intercessors who pray for the team on duty and provide support and protection.
GDS Church’s Guidelines on Prayer Ministry can be accessed here:
Weekly during and after the morning services.
The Prayer Ministry team are available at the front of the church for personal prayer during the singing of the last two songs. They will also be available for a time at the end of the service.
We recognise that some people may benefit from prayer that is more than a one-off occasion. If you are facing difficulties – spiritually, relationally, emotionally or physically, the Prayer Ministry Team would like to offer prayer support. This would involve 2-3 people from the Prayer Ministry Team who would meet with you on a regular basisfor a mutually agreed period of time. This offers a deeper level of prayer in a safe, supervised setting.
Should you wish to request prayer in a more private setting, please speak to the Ministers or a member of
the Prayer Ministry Team.
Whilst there is a place for personal and private prayer, there are times and situations when prayer can be exercised more effectively with a number of people participating. “Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them” (Matthew 18/19, 20).
